We collect information automatically, including device and browser data, IP address, log data, pages viewed, request metadata, referrers, user agent, cookie data, session data, review progress, error data, security events, and service usage data.

We may receive information from service providers and identity providers, including Clerk and any OAuth provider you choose to use. This may include your name, email address, profile image, user identifier, authentication status, and related account metadata.

3. Google OAuth and Google API Data

If you sign in with Google or connect a Google account, we use the Google information authorized by you only to authenticate you, create or maintain your account, secure the service, provide the requested functionality, and communicate with you about the service.

Knowzeno's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or transfer it except as needed to provide or improve user-facing features, comply with law, protect against security threats, or as otherwise permitted by Google's policies and your consent.

5. Artificial Intelligence Processing

Knowzeno uses AI service providers, including OpenAI, to generate learning items, review prompts, answer evaluations, and transcriptions. Content you submit may be sent to those providers to perform the requested service. AI outputs can be inaccurate or incomplete, and you are responsible for reviewing them before relying on them.

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for authentication, session management, security, review progress, preferences, performance, and basic service operation. Clerk and other service providers may set cookies or similar technologies to provide authentication and security.

7. How We Disclose Information

We may disclose information to service providers and subprocessors that help provide Knowzeno, including hosting, database, authentication, email, infrastructure, AI processing, transcription, security, monitoring, and support providers. We may also disclose information to comply with law, legal process, or government requests; enforce agreements; protect rights, safety, and security; investigate abuse; collect amounts owed; or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, bankruptcy, or sale of assets.

We do not sell personal information for money. We do not knowingly share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

8. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent abuse, and protect our legitimate business interests. We may retain backups, logs, security records, and legal records after account or content deletion when lawful and reasonably necessary.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for protecting your account credentials, devices, and access tokens.

10. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of certain personal information.
